Esemény leírása / Narrative: | Bejelentés szerinti eseményleírás: Az LHR-DXB között közlekedő járat személyzete már a román légtérből fordult vissza mert a pilótakabinban égett szagot és enyhe füstöt tapasztaltak és bejött az "akkumulátor túlmelegedés" figyelmeztető üzenet. Karbantartó szervezetük tanácsait követve előbb lekapcsolták a fő akkumulátort, majd az akkumulátor töltés 2db CB-t, de mivel a kezdeti javulás után a hiba ismét jelentkezett, megfordultak és leszállási engedélyt kértek Budapest/Ferihegy repülőterére, ahol rendben leszálltak.
The crew noticed a burning smell and slight haze and also received several status messages in the cockpit. 9 tons of fuel was jettisoned, and the crew declared PAN PAN. By the advise of the maintenance in Dubai the crew pulled out the CB-s of the main battery charger and the burning smell and smoke terminated. PAN-PAN was cancelled, and the aircraft made an uneventful landing.
